Starting in October, Chester Upland schools will close early on Wednesdays
for professional development time for teachers.
Chester High and STEM will dismiss students at 12:30 pm on Wednesdays.
Elementary & middle schools will dismiss students at 1:45 pm on Wednesdays.

Chester High School serves students in grades 9-12.

Chester High School is a comprehensive and vocational technical high school. This year, Chester High School features a proven and experienced new leadership team with a focus on:
  • School safety
  • High expectations and maintaining C-Pride n Honors Academy for high performing
  • students
  • 9th Grade Academy to prepare new students for the high school experience
  • Career Technical Education
  • State-renowned sports programs
In addition to the basic core curricular programs, student preparation includes academic seminars and tutoring (during/after the school day), and computer assisted programs, including Achieve 3000 [reading] and First in Math & Apangea [Mathematics]). Extracurricular programs include Instrumental Music/band and General Music, football, basketball, volleyball, cheerleading, baseball, tennis, track and club activities.

Uniform Policy
Shirts: Will be provided on the first day of school.
ááá Solid color sweaters or sweatshirts (navy, white or black).
ááá No hoodies are permitted to be worn during the day.
Pants/Skirts: Navy blue or tan khaki pants.
ááá No jeans or leggings are permitted.
ááá Belts are required for pants (pants should not sag or reveal undergarments).
ááá For girls, khaki, navy blue or black skirts or skorts are permitted (no denim skirts or skorts). Length should not be more than 1 inch above the knee
Shoes: Sneakers or dress shoes / dressy flats.
ááá No: flip-flops, sandals, high-heel shoes, slides, shoes with wheels or lights.
